Therapy programs should be extensive and require the abuser to remain out of any relationship until counselors are certain new behaviors are mastered. You may need assistance finding a facility. Police can help provide information and assistance. You'll go to a safe haven for single and battered parents. Volunteer shelters offer prevention counseling, job information and a safe home for women who are abuse survivors.
