  • Chamber – This is the part of a firearm where cartridges are inserted.
  • Magazine – This is a spring loaded container designed to hold cartridges and feed them into the gun. Some magazines are detachable. Remington and other gun makers offer a variety of magazines, clips, and other cartridge storing devices.
  • Primer – Primer is part of a cartridge. Within this small compartment is a combustible substance. When this substance ignites, it expels the bullet from the gun.
  • Rifling – Rifling refers to the spiraled grooves in a cartridge. These grooves cause the bullet to spin, promoting precision.
