  • Online Art Instruction - Correspondence courses in the arts that are available over the internet. Painting and drawing courses are the most common type of online art instruction.   • Portfolio - A collection of an artist's work. Art school helps students to develop their portfolios, which are used by perspective employers to gauge the quality and style of an artist's work during the hiring process.
