Bakers use various kitchen supplies to make cupcakes, fondant, pastry treats, and cake icing. While professional bakers rely on these supplies and other essential kitchen equipment, many individuals do as well for baking desserts and breads at home. Depending on the food or recipe, different ingredients, cooking pans, liners, and molds are often required.   • Charlotte Mold – This is a classic, French mold that is for baking. It is typically round, and shaped similar to a straight-sided bucket. This steel mold has handles on each side, and can be used to make desserts like sponge cake.
  • Dredges – These are typically made from some type of steel or tin, and are used to sprinkle food and pastry items. A dredge has a handle on one side and holes in the top. It is often used to hold sugar, flour, or some type of powder.
  • Hemisphere Mold – A metal or stainless steel mold that looks like a dome. This device is commonly used in baking, and can be used to make breads, cakes, and other desserts.
  • Dough and Fondant Sheeter – This is a machine often found in a restaurant or bakery. It is used to process dough, sugar icing, or fondant into a flat sheet. This saves the baker time and a lot of effort.
  • Cupcake Toppers – These are typically made from plastic or icing. Toppers can range from animals, to greetings, to festive characters. They are simply placed on top of a cupcake, after the icing, in order to decorate for a specific occasion or just for fun.
