Humans are social creatures and that is why so many people are members of some club, organization or association. Sometimes a club is simply a type of venue, many of which require purchasing tickets at the door. Nightclubs are usually open to the public, but many have a VIP area used exclusively by certain patrons. This part is separate from the main dance floor of the nightclub and usually includes a lounge. To be allowed in, you usually have to be on a special guest list. Strip clubs are also a form of entertainment for many adults, where patrons can enjoy private dances. Comedy clubs allow visitors to enjoy various programs, such as stand-up, ventriloquists and improvisation performances.
Beach and ski clubs are often open to anyone who is interested. Events are held so the members can do activities together, like skiing a new trail or beach volleyball tournaments. Unions can also be considered a type of club since their membership is restricted. These are often alliances of a certain type of workers, such as sport players and factory employers. These associations are used to negotiate better working terms. Guilds are usually associations of people with the same type of skill.
Health clubs are popular, especially with athletes who are retired from sports but want to maintain their fitness level through an activity of their interest. Health clubs are private gyms with exclusive access to their gym amenities. Country clubs are also common memberships that many people get. Country clubs are often seen to be exclusively for the wealthier individuals in society. By joining, you can enjoy such activities as golf and yacht races. If you cannot find one that suits you, open a club of your own to get people together with common interests.
