Tip #1: Decide on a Type of Comedy Club
When deciding on a comedy club you first need to consider the group that will be visiting the venue. Not all comedy clubs are ideal places to take children. If you and your friends are looking to have a few drinks, keep in mind that not all places have a bar. Discovering this fact once you are inside could put a damper on the evening. You will want to know beforehand what kind of comedy the club typically provides. Most comedy clubs are known for their standup acts, but other venues may have improv nights and even sketches performed by theater groups.

Tip #2: Consider the Costs
The cost of your ticket will probably not be the only expense involved in visiting a comedy club. Most visitors like to enjoy food and beverages while taking in the show. Also, a lot of comics sell shirts, CDs, and other souvenirs.

Tip #3: Plan Ahead
Whenever possible, purchase tickets in advance. This is particularly important for shows being put on by a more well-known entertainer. Some comedy clubs are small places, so make sure you know exactly where the event is located. Scouting out parking spaces beforehand is also a good idea.
