What is a Consignment Shop?

Consignment shops are a great way to buy secondhand, slightly used items at a discounted price. They operate as an outlet where consumers can bring items they want to sell that the store will buy. Often these items are high-end designer clothes or collectible antiques. A consignment store is different from a thrift store because in a thrift store the items are often donated and therefore at a lower quality than a consignment store.
