What is a Consignment Shop?

Consignment shops are a great way to buy secondhand, slightly used items at a discounted price. They operate as an outlet where consumers can bring items they want to sell that the store will buy.   • Antique stores – Items from the past that have held up well over time are sold here. Often you can find great deals on secondhand furniture with a great sense of style.

Most thrift or secondhand shops sell items for men, women, and children, whether designer brands or lesser known brands.
