Problems for a Plumbing Contractor

Plumbing Contractors oversee a variety of plumbing work. While some simple plumbing work can be done without a plumber, it is best to leave the big jobs for the professionals. Even something that seems as simple as a clogged drain or a leaking pipe could be a symptom of a much larger problem, which plumbing contractors are qualified to address. Below are some serious plumbing problems that would require the services of a plumbing contractor.

  • Sewer Line Clogs – A serious problem where at some point the main sewer line has broken and tree, sensing water, have actually grown their roots into the pipe, blocking the waste. Ultimately, a problem like this would involve replacing the broken line.
  • Repeating Drain Problems – If a drain keeps having drainage problems despite repeated snaking (the process where a plumber uses a tool called a snake to punch holes in the clog in the drain) this could be the sign of something more serious, like a grease clog, which would require replacing the pipe.
  • Low water pressure – Water pressure problems could come from a variety of problems, from a malfunctioning pressure-reducing valve to a leaking water heater.
  • Install – Installation needs vary. Installing a new faucet wouldn't necessarily mean you would need a plumbing contractor, while installing a new hot tub or septic system would.
  • Remodel – If a remodeling project calls for a serious renovation in the bathroom, installing an eco-friendly water heaters, or an expensive water feature in the house, using a professional is recommended. Keep in mind if you are going to be changing water, gas or electrical lines that you will need the services of a licensed professional for your own safety.

If you are having problems with the pipes in your home or office, you should call a plumbing contractor. This is a plumber who you have contracted to work on your plumbing. Plumbers do more than just unclogging pipes and drains. Perhaps you need to replace your water heater or fix a major leak. A contractor can install a new heater or repair the broken pipe. Plumbing contractors can work on both residential and commercial properties. Often, they are hired while a building is still under construction to make sure the gas lines to the boiler are functioning, or that the wiring is right if the location uses electrical heat. Some larger jobs might include problems with your septic drainage. A septic tank is where your bathroom waste collects if your facility is not connected to a sewer system. The contractor will check that your tank is draining properly. If the tank is not draining properly, the contractor might pump it out using a large vacuum truck. If he cannot fix the problem he might connect the tank to a sewer if it’s possible. Whether you need a plumber for a domestic or commercial job, you should always make sure you are using a licensed and reputable contractor. If you don’t, you might need to do even more maintenance work than the original problem required, because the new contractor will have to detect and correct any mistakes the first one made. Whether you need a new faucet system or a drain field, a contractor can help. Call a plumbing contractor next time you are taking on a big plumbing project.
