Diamonds are perhaps the most sought-after stones in the world, ideal for jewelry like rings, necklaces, and earrings. These hard, reflective crystalline forms of carbon can be placed inside jewelry settings or purchased loose. Diamonds are timeless, revered in many different cultures as a sign of wealth, strength, luxury, and purity. Engagement rings, in particular, typically feature one or many diamonds. This type of ring signifies a promise. Consumers can buy these and other diamonds from a retail jewelry store, or direct from a diamond manufacturer or wholesaler. Jewelry stores typically buy from wholesalers to obtain a bulk discount on diamonds of all kinds in all different types of cuts and clarities. The significance of diamonds in general can vary from culture to culture, but for the most part, a circle of diamonds is a universal sign of eternity, as a circle has no beginning and no end. Commonly used as wedding bands, the circle of diamonds is meant to show everlasting love and commitment. But weddings aren't the only place for diamonds. They are used in all types of jewelry from engagement rings to ankle rings to bracelets. They are also sold loose in bulk, with all sorts of different cuts, such as asscher and princess. Wholesalers give discounts to customers who purchase a large quantity of fine stones at once. Such wholesale businesses usually have online catalogs and print catalogs showcasing their products. A company or store that buys in bulk from a wholesaler sells to the general public. Diamonds and stones come in a variety of colors and shapes, from different brand names and makes. Consumers can seek out diamond wholesalers online for more information. Wholesalers may also offer custom design, repair, maintenance, and cleaning for a variety of quality stones and gems.
