Electronic parts assemblers are important and essential to the field of technology. These individuals are needed to design, build, test, and repair equipment. The following are some common terms used by electronic parts assemblers.
American Wire Gauge – This is the measurement that is used to determine the diameter of a wire. In AWG, the larger the measurement number, the thinner the wire.
Capacitor – This is the part of an electronic device that can store energy. Capacitors must be suited to their coordinating conductors to prevent overloading the equipment.
Conductor – This is the component of an electrical device that can distribute electric currents. The conductor could be a wire, cable, tube, or rod. Manufacturers need to be sure to install a conductor that is capable of powering that particular equipment.
Connector – Connectors join wires to each other or to other parts of the equipment. Connectors are used to distribute electrical currents to other areas of the equipment.
Multimeter – A multimeter is used by a device engineer or assembler to determine the resistance, current, and voltage of a product. All electronics should be thoroughly tested to prevent fire or electrocution risks.
