Frequently Asked Questions About Floor Machines
The following questions are commonly asked about floor machines:

How do I clean linoleum floors?
Both linoleum and tile floors are durable, but under heavy foot traffic they quickly get dirty and stained. Brighten them up and clean their surfaces using an automatic floor burnisher. They can be hand-held, but the largest models allow the operator to sit inside. Using a series of soft brushes, the floor burnisher spins them at high speeds to buffer the flooring surface. The end result is a shining floor that looks just as good as new.

Do I need to sand wood floors before refinishing them?
Yes. A good wood finish needs to be evenly applied across the entire floor surface. If the wood is not sanded first, this will create an uneven varnish, giving the appearance the floor is dirty. Of course, if you have some minor water or stain damage to the floor, sanding away the wood finish is an easy way to fix this problem. However, keep in mind that only true hardwood floors can be sanded down. Trying to sand linoleum will only tear it up. While sanding can be done by hand, most professionals choose to use a sanding machine.

How do I get rid of deep carpet stains?
Before you rush out to buy new carpet, consider trying to clean up that deep stain. If household chemical products won’t work, you can try using a steam cleaner. Either rent one from a store or call a carpet cleaning company to come out to your home. You might be surprised at the difference a high powered steam cleaner can make on old carpet.
