Golf Courses Private
Whether you need to perfect your putt, steady your swing, or just have a friendly game out on the green, private golf courses provide quality golfing conditions and extra amenities such as pro shops, spas, and five-star restaurants. Not just anyone can play on a private course. Most country clubs require a membership in order for members to be allowed to play there. You can also play at one of these courses if you've been personally invited by a member. Members have first shot at the best tee times and packages, get access to all the facilities like the fitness center, and receive complimentary caddy service. They can take lessons from the course pro, or just practice on the putting green and driving range. Private golf courses are usually located within luxury resorts, estates, country clubs, and gated communities. They usually feature 18 holes. Some are more expensive than others with the most prestigious and sought-after charging the highest fees. Many private golf courses host seasonal tournaments to keep the spirit of competition alive in the community. Rates vary by season, with the highest rates being in the spring season. Off-season rates are typically much lower, but you'll have to play in less-than-ideal weather conditions. Members pay a flat membership fee for the year, granting them access to the country club and all facilities, such as the driving range, which is the place where golfers line up side by side to tee off onto a large open field. A restaurant is usually located on-site, where members can grab a quick lunch or have a leisurely dinner with friends. Some golf clubs may also feature a spa area, complete with a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center. Be sure to visit the gift shop for additional golfing supplies. Pro shops sell everything from golf balls and apparel to clubs and gloves.

Private golf courses are not open to the public. To play at one, you must be a member or play with a member to be allowed golf access. Members of private golf courses, will typically pay a monthly or yearly fee. This allows them the privilege to play on the course, which is usually very well maintained and features many extra luxury amenities. Most private golf courses have 18 holes to play on, although some smaller ones feature nine holes. Most courses, both public and private ones, typically have driving ranges and putting greens. Driving ranged are practice facilities where you can tee off into a large field to practice your long drive. At a driving range you can practice you long distance stroke, by hitting golf balls toward targets, markers or a designated area. Putting greens allow you to practice your shorter strokes for putting. Many golf courses feature driving ranges on the premises, while other courses are stand-alone facilities. Sometimes, there are homes located on the grounds of the private course or community. Golf courses sometimes have clubhouses, where members and player are able to get food, drinks and relax.
