Grain Dealers Wholesale
Farmers who do not make their own grain need to buy lots of it at once. This is why they usually buy from grain dealers at the wholesale level. When buying large quantities of wheat, rye, barley, and other grains at one time from a mill, they experience discounts on those bulk dealer purchases. They can also buy seed, flour, grinders, cereal, and food products to operate their farms. Farmers use grain elevators, often called silos, for storing the grain. These structures are used to store, mill, dry, and process grain, which is then fed to farm animals or used for human consumption. Some farmers plant and harvest their own grain, and sell it to others. Grain can include anything from corn and wheat to rye and barley. This food source is a necessary component of day-to-day living on a farm, especially one with a lot of livestock. You find grains in the cereals and breads you eat. Wholesalers operating in this business also sell a variety of equipment, such as augers, and storage bins, tanks, and grain handling and processing equipment. The grain cargo is sold by weight or volume. They also offer products like wood pellets, propane, shavings, hay, and horse feed all at low per-unit prices. Some wholesalers have a specialty. For example, one may offer organic, all natural products or fresh-milled flour. Many offer delivery of grain, feed, seed, and food products to farms and retail stores. Planting and harvesting times are the busiest for farmers, who may have up to 1,500 acres with which to work. Some farmers own their own land, while others are owned and overseen by large corporations. They may hire contractors during harvesting time. The work is tough, but pays off in the end. They sell to many different types of customers, including cereal manufacturers.

If you operate a farm that raises crops or animals, then you might need to find a grain wholesale distributor that can give you access to the feed and seed that you need. You can find many grain dealers listed in the online directory, but you should be sure to contact several of them to help you decide which ones have the services, equipment, and products that you need. When you call the dealers, you should ask them if they have online catalogs so you can look at their silos, storage bins, safety equipment, feed, corn, tanks, unloading equipment, hoppers, bunkers, trucks, dryers and aeration products. If the company has the products that you need, then you should continue asking them questions to determine which ones have the best products at the lowest costs. First, ask the distributors if they are licensed to operate in your area and ask them for reference lists. This will give you some information about how reliable they are. If they are licenses and have several good references, then the wholesalers probably have grains like corn that are right for you. One of the advantages of using a wholesale distributor instead of a retail store is that you can get discounts for your bulk purchases. Ask the dealers how much of a discount they can give you for the amount of feed and seed you need for your farm. After you have talked to several companies, you should be able to determine which ones have the best prices for you.
