Important Terms about Health Clubs

Many people who want to improve their physical fitness decide to join a health club.   • Aerobics – A type of workout routine that promotes strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. This is done though a wide variety of sustained athletic exercises, often including but not restricted to jogging, swimming, and cycling.
  • Free weights – Weights, such as dumbbells and barbells, that are not attached to a weightlifting apparatus. They differ from weight machines in allowing a greater range of movement.
