    The term health services covers many different private and public services, businesses and personnel that contribute to the overall well-being of a person. Many nursing programs work both in hospitals, and providing in home care for the disabled. There are physicians that focus only on children's health, while others focus on women's medical care. Some physicians work in lab settings, doing research on human health, looking to provide aid to cancer victims. These research institutions are often funded by private charities. Whether it is a doctor writing a prescription, or the health department working with local management for restaurant codes, these services all work for the general good.
