  • Aerator – This faucet device fills the water with air bubbles, which gives you different flow options ranging from steam to spray.
  • Butcher-Block Counter Tops – These counter tops are made out of thick strips of wood. Contrary to the name, you shouldn’t use them as cutting boards.
  • Drain Boards – Drain boards are counter top grooves that cause water to drain into the sink.
  • Escutcheon – This part of the faucet fixture acts as the decorative base plate at the top of the sink where the faucet is affixed and behind the handle.
  • Flatware – Flatware, or eating utensils, are essential kitchen accessories. Pattern styles can be decorative or classic, and the finish can be shiny, two-toned or satin. Traditional flatware comes in stainless steel, sterling steel, silver-plated or even bamboo.
  • Island – An island is an unattached counter that differs from a kitchen cart in that it is accessible from all sides. It can second as an eating area if you add chairs or stools. Stools should be roughly two feet apart to give enough room for dining. Islands particularly complement L-shaped and single-wall kitchens.
  • Lazy Susan Turntables – These revolving racks are placed inside of cabinets and cupboards or on pantry shelving. They spin around to provide easy access to spices for added convenience while you cook.
  • Molding – Cabinet molding is an architectural décor element added to the edges of cabinetry. You can buy molding that looks as though it’s built into the cabinet itself.
