Mirror and glass products are thought of as vanity items used to decorate ones bathroom and shower. They’re both functional and aesthetic. They can be bought at wholesale prices from a warehouse and the process is made easier if you have a little extra knowledge of this area.

  • Glass Surfaces – Some flat surfaces are glass instead of wood, tile, etc. Table tops are often made of a durable glass material. Glass bottom boats have clear, glass floors that are manufactured to support weight.
  • Auto Glass – The windshield of an automobile is made of two large layers of safety glass and a plastic layer put between them for hardness and flexibility.
  • Antique – Antique means the item is old, collectible, and traditionally styled. They are usually artistic and for aesthetic appeal. They can be small and square or full sized, oddly shaped mirrors.
  • Bevel – A beveled edge is the edge of a surface that is not perpendicular to the face of the structure. This means that if there is a curve, such as a round or oval mirror, or a slant in one portion of the glass or mirror, then it is beveled. These decorative mirrors hang on the bathroom wall or above a vanity and may either be in a custom frame or loose. Things such as shower doors are almost always not beveled because they’re functional glass doors instead of having just visual appeal.
  • One Way – This is a special type of glass that is transparent and also reflective. If one side of it is darkened and the other side is light, the light side won’t be able to see through it but the dark side will. One way mirrors are what police use in interrogation rooms; they usually span the full length of the wall.

Once outside, consumers commonly use glass in the form of that placed in the windows of their automobiles. Beveled and tiled glass make up in artistic appeal what they lack in utility. On the other hand, glass table tops function protectively. Frame shape, whether square, round oval, or other, could be driven by either concern.
