Important Mobile Manufactured Homes Dealers Terms

Manufactured homes are both cost-efficient and convenient. Unlike homes constructed on site, they are constructed in factories and shipped to your location in pieces or as one piece. Dealers offer options for this type of housing. Here are some terms for the various types of manufactured housing for sale that you should be aware of:

  • Manufactured Housing - A complete home, manufactured and put together at a factory, then towed to its resting place with the use of wheels on its underside. The wheels are removed and the house is mounted or tied to a foundation. These homes are available from manufactured house dealers and are ideal for mobile home parks.
  • Single Wide - A manufactured home that is 18 feet or less wide, and 90 feet or less long. These homes are small enough to tow in one piece behind a truck.
  • Double Wide - A manufactured home that is towed in two separate units. Such homes are usually at least 90 feet long and twenty feet or more wide, and its sections are joined on-site.
  • Panelized Home - Manufactured housing panels that are put together on-site. Some systems incorporate wiring and other details into the construction, while others install these parts on-site. Although panelized homes are different than manufactured homes, they offer the same cost-saving benefits since much of the construction is done in a factory.
  • Modular Home - A prefabricated home shipped to a site on flat bed trucks in sections one room or larger. A variety of types of modular homes are available for sale. It is considered a cost-efficient luxury housing option due to the quality and versatility of its construction.
  • Mobile Home Park - An area of land where land is leased for the placement of manufactured or mobile homes. The community provides basic amenities such as water and electricity.

Mobile and manufactured home dealers are located all over the United States. These professionals commonly deal with trailers and modular homes that are manufactured and assembled before they are purchased. This way the prices are cheaper because less work and effort goes into these dwellings. Building a detached residential house requires more financing and time and while some people who purchase a manufactured or mobile home have it placed in a motor park, others purchase a more spacious lot to put the trailer on. There are several different types of manufactured homes that mobile home dealers sell. While some of these dwellings are double-wide trailers, others are modular homes that resemble a common residential home. These real estate dealers also offer several floor plans for trailers, which can be rather small or quite large. Depending on the materials used in the manufactured home, the sale cost can vary significantly. However, as with most residential housing, there are typically financing options available. It is also possible to rent a trailer or mobile home. Most of these manufactured units are one story. Use the internet to learn more about modular houses, manufactured home dealers, and real estate that manufacturers assemble or build in factories beforehand. There are dealers and real estate agents in your area to offer you more information as well. Just be sure to make the right inquiries pertaining to your needs if you decide to get in touch with them to learn more.
