  • Micropigmentation - This is a term that can be used interchangeably with permanent make up. It can refer to procedures like tinting the cheeks with permanent color, lip injections, and other procedures that are performed by a trained cosmetic artist.
  • Dermabrasion - This is a surgical procedure that removes the top few layers of the skin through laser, sandpaper, or a carbon dioxide laser. This treatment is often used to remove tattoos, or unwanted permanent cosmetic treatments.
  • Permanent Cosmetics Technician - This technician is a trained tattoo artist. These professionals have to undergo a specific training program in order to gain their certifications. Here, they learn how to properly shape and apply eyebrow pigmentation, lash extensions, and perform other enhancements.
