  • Psychotherapy - A system of therapeutic and interactive treatments to help a person suffering from psychological difficulties. Psychotherapists provide counseling to patients and confront their mental health issues. Some psychiatrists may specialize in psychotherapy.
  • Organizational Psychiatrists - A field of psychology and psychiatry that focuses workplace societies. Psychiatrists help improve the well-being and performance of a company's staff.
  • Psychopharmacology - The study of drugs and their effect on human psychology. Psychopharmacologists develop drug treatment systems to help patients suffering from various mental disorders, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder and many others.
  • Attention Deficit Disorder - Also called ADD or ADHD, a disorder that commonly is prescribed in children and is associated with reduced attention span. Psychiatrists can prescribe medications that help children deal with the disorder and focus better in school.
