Gun ranges offer individuals a chance to shoot targets. Whether it's for hunting or sport, ranges offer a safe environment where someone can test out different types of firearms and improve their skills.   • Firing Line - A firing line is the marked or imaginary line at a range where individuals fire their pistols and rifles.
  • Range Finder - A range finder is designed to find the distance of the target. This device works by bouncing a laser beam off the target. The time it takes to reflect back helps to find the distance.
  • Trajectory - The trajectory is the path the bullet takes once it leaves the firearm and travels toward the target. Often the bullet does not fly straight over long distances, as gravity pulls it down. Shooters may also have to compensate for wind and other elements.
  • Sights - Sights are a device that help find the targets. Individuals will use the sights to fire a more accurate and precise shot.
