Private schools can be great options for many students. They often allow greater specialization, and may teach a certain set of religious or cultural values in addition to traditional academic material. Familiarity with different terms can assist parents and students in selecting the best private school for their needs.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are private preschools as well. The price is payable in full, or in monthly installments throughout the year. In some private schools, boys and girls are segregated. Sports may be offered for children, as well as multilingual instruction, art, and extra curricular activities.
