Security control equipment is used for the protection of a residential home and commercial business. They come in many different styles, from an affordable home alarm system to closed circuit surveillance cameras. They often serve to deter burglars, or in the case of a robbery even help to find the criminals. They can also be quite useful in an emergency. Below are some common terms for security control equipment.

  • Home Alarm Service – A home alarm service is usually installed by a professional company. This service emits a siren when the home is broken into.   • Closed Circuit Camera – A type of surveillance system that is often used by commercial businesses but can also be used in homes. A closed circuit camera is used for monitoring and it does not broadcast a signal. Instead its transmits its images to a monitor that can be viewed by security personnel or the homeowner. In the case of a break in, the closed circuit camera system is especially helpful in identifying and catching the perpetrators.
