Self defense can be learned through martial arts programs, including karate, kickboxing, jujitsu, ninjitsu, and hapkido. Many of these classes will be aimed to train women on the moves and tactics they can use on the street if they are ever in a tough situation. Many martial arts schools will have mixed ways on how to teach students the moves. Some may let you visit a class to see if you like the teacher and the type of tips you'll be given on how to defend yourself. You can ask if you can get your money back within a certain period of time if you decide that you don't like the class or if another obligation comes up.
