Tips for Using Sports Facilities and Athletic Courts
The following are some tips for using sports facilities and athletic courts:

Tip #1: Plan Ahead
First of all, do not forget to check on any fees required to use a sports facility or athletic court. Make sure you have all of the supplies you will need to play a sport or participate in an activity. Not all sports facilities and athletic courts provide balls and other equipment, though most of them will have hoops, goal posts, nets, and other larger items. Do not forget to bring water, a towel, and snacks to make sure you stay cool, hydrated, and energized.

Tip #2: Dress Appropriately
Complexes being used for recreation do not usually have much of a dress code. Generally, clothing should conceal the body parts that are meant to be covered up. Private clubs and fitness centers may have stricter requirements, though. A lot of public swimming pools ask that individuals with longer hair wear swim caps. Many sports facilities and athletic courts do enforce suitable footwear. Basketball courts and similar hard, polished surfaces can easily be damaged or scuffed by certain shoes. These locations require soft soles that will not leave marks on the floor. Be sure to check dress codes before visiting a new facility.

Tip #3: Be Considerate of Others
Sports facilities and athletic centers, particularly community ones, are intended to be shared. Be sure to treat the arena and its equipment with respect. Supplies should be put back away, debris should be kept off the floors, and fitness machines and other equipment should be wiped down after use. Do not monopolize the place, either. If you notice someone waiting, finish up your game or your workout and move along. Or, if you are playing a game, invite others to join in.

If you are interested in finding a club that has an indoor sports facility and athletic court, then you will need to know what questions to ask the clubs in your area to help you determine which ones have the services you want. Some important things to note are whether they have youth training courses for children, league nights, coaches and referees that know the rules of the games you play, and physical education courses. Depending on where you live, you might find that there are several sport facility and athletic court fitness clubs in your area. Write down the names and numbers of the clubs so you can contact them and ask the management about the costs and services that they offer. When you call the first club, ask the management if they have a web site that has information about the center's sports leagues, indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and the other services that you might be interested in. Ask them if they offer a trial membership so you can take a few aerobics classes, use their gym, and try out the athletic courts to make sure they meet your standards. Even if they do not offer a free trial membership, most fitness clubs will give you a tour of the facilities. Schedule an appointment with the manager so that you can get first-hand experience of the exercise and sports services they offer. While it is important for you to find a club that has the facilities and services that you want, you should also make sure its fees are cheap enough for your budget. Ask them to quote their monthly family and individual rates so you can compare their prices.
