Common Tool Terms

Tools are used for a broad range of projects. Auto mechanics working in a repair shop, for instance, view tools much differently than home builders.   • Lift - A lift, such as those used in auto body shops, are machines that lift cars of the ground so mechanics can slide under them and repair them. Lifts are heavy industrial tools that are automated and expensive.
