Definitions of Industrial Trucks
The following terms are commonly used for industrial trucks:

Pallet truck: A small truck designed for lifting pallets. It’s front includes two arms that slide under the pallet. It is controlled by a handlebar that let the user either stand on the platform or walk behind the truck while pushing it.

Platform truck: Designed to lift loads that come in platforms, not pallets, the platform truck is easily distinguishable by its platform bed on the front part of the truck. There are two main kinds of platform trucks, one that lets a user walk with the truck and control it using handlebars similar to the pallet truck, and the other allows a user to ride on the truck itself.

Forklift: Sometimes called a counterbalance truck because its front wheels help to balance out the weight of its load, the forklift is a true workhorse. It works like a pallet truck, but also includes stacking capability so that loads can easily be raised and lowered onto shelves. The forklift is operated by sitting inside the driving compartment and operating the wheel. Most forklifts use basic standard gear shifts.

Turret Truck: Similar to narrow-aisle forklifts, the turret truck is designed to fit where regular forklifts cannot go. It also has arms on the front, as well as a lengthened turret so that loads can be stacked higher. The turret truck is operated like a forklift.

Sideloader: This industrial truck is designed for side and straddle loading. It’s pallet forks are located on its side instead of the front so that it can easily load and unload pallets that need straddle loading because of their large size.

There are several kinds of industrial trucks available on the market: shipping vehicles, utility trucks, buses, transport trailers, dump trucks for hauling garbage, flatbeds, or commercial forklifts, then you could also contact an industrial trucks manufacturer that can give you discounts for the new and used vehicles. You can find several distributors listed in you online directory and on the internet. Some people find that it is hard for them to pick a company that is right for them because there are so many options available. If you follow these guidelines, though, you should be able to find a company that is right for you. When you first contact the industrial trucks wholesale companies, you will need to determine how much experience they have. You can do this by asking them how long they have been in the retail business. If they have several years of experience, then they should have connections to manufacturers that make electric and diesel buses, shipping vehicles like semi-trucks that can haul freight and cargo for long-distances, chippers, and utility trucks. Ask if they have online catalogs that provide information about their different vehicles. If they do not include facts about the manufacturer, prices, warranties, gas mileage, and replacement parts, then you should be sure to ask them directly. Find out if they have a reference list that you can check. This is one of the best ways to determine how reliable they are because you can speak to their other clients about their experiences. Ask the companies for written price quotes that will make it easy for you to compare prices and determine which ones offer the best discounts.
