Arc Welding – Arc welding equipment uses an electric arc to create the heat needed to bond metal pieces together. During arc welding, the area being welded is typically shielded by some sort of gas. Machines use but direct and alternating electrical currents for arc welding.
Gas Welding – Gas welding tools use the heat from burning gasses to join metal parts together. Torches are a common piece of equipment used for gas welding, as well as other processes like cutting and soldering.
