Wine Retail Terms to Know

Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fruit, usually grapes. It is often sold in retail stores and is used as a popular drink for special occasions, such as weddings and parties.   • Wine Rack – A container for storing bottles of wine. These are often sold at wine stores or through wine clubs. The size of the wine rack depends on the number of bottles it holds.
  • Wine Tasting – Many vineyards will host tasting parties for their wines, and some wine shops will also do the same. This allows for customers to get a taste of different types of wines. Traditionally, many different types of wine are drank with different foods, such as red wines with meat and white wines with fish.
