German Shepherd Puppy Wanted
If there is anyone in Hawaii that is willing to sell a German Shepherd puppy for cheep to a family with a little 18 mo boy who has bilateral club foot please email me. We would like to have a puppy to grow up with our son and be his friend and protector. There are very theroputic reasons for having a puppy for our son. I can think of no breed better than a German Shepherd.They have these dogs come into the hospital here and my son was very happy during the therapy session. We had a pup before who died of parvo, the people who we got him from did not know he was sick. " Max " was the sweetest and very loved. Please email me if you know of any pups around here. Thanks

It is not the fact that we can not "afford" a dog just not all that money all at one time on a dog.We just can not pay $1000 to $3000 at one time for a dog.We do have very good affordable vet. Care here for military family animals. Like I said in my earlier postings we also had a GSD puppy but had to put Max to sleep because of Parvo. It was a family decision and my children understand about life and death, we are responsible parents so we explain everything to our kids. None of us could stand to see Max suffer and have no garantee of a cure so we did what was best for him.
We had a dog before we moved to Hawaii... A Siberian Husky... But we chose not to bring him here to Hawaii because of the horror stories we heard about the quaratine and the facilities were awful here. We just could not put Takoma through all that so he went to stay at my Mom's and he is very well cared for.
We are willing to go as far as we have to to take care of our family including a puppy. Two entire paychecks or more on a puppy (and still have to pay for all his neccessities) is far beyond our range. I was only asking in this forum for info on ways of getting a pup since we are still new to the islands. I did not expect to be ridiculed and downgraded for asking questions. I would have a puppy checked out and the seller checked out before agreeing to the purchase. Thanks anyway. I will be leaving this board and possibly abandoning my search since I can find no reasonable answer to my pro |

| Tina, dont you dare give up looking for a GS pup. I have 8 new little babies at my house, and would donate one to you but because of the quarantine issues there it would be the same as what you would ahve had to go thru with your husky. I have an 18 month old son myself who on occassion has been caught sleeping with the puppies and mom. She would never hurt Tyler, she considers him one of her babies. I hope you find one, every child should have one. 2 of mine have been chosen by the Local Sherriffs Dept as search and resue dogs. Good Luck Tina, I wish you well. |

I have an urgent situation. My mom had a litter of German Shepherd pups in Canada. The bitch is a world champion from Austria and holds many titles, my mom owns her. The stud is also a world champ and holds various titles however the bitch is considered a rare and valuable dog.Their family pedigree is listed in the Bundessieger-Zuchtschau in Wort und Bild Karlsruhe 2002- A Reference Book about the most important annual German Shepherd Dog show in the World! My situation is this...All but two of the pups were sold in Canada to show people, The other two (one male and one female) were shipped via aircargo to Texas where I live because they were pre-sold to two professionals who were going to use the dogs for narcotics and search and rescue. The tragedy for us is that because my mom is NOT a breeder nor has any experience doing puppy sales she did not get any money down and paid $1010.00 US to ship them here. The two individuals backed down and never showed up to pick up their dog. No money was put down as deposit so no obligation was met and well, as we learned, this is doggy dog world- these things occur all the time.
My mom is in Europe now, for about a month or two on business, and Iam stuck with these two pups. I have already 4 dogs and 3 cats and Iam very sick with heart problems (just got out of the hospital 2 days ago) not to mention Iam 5 months pregnant and ordered bed rest because of placenta previa. While I feel for your situation, I would strongly advise you to turn her over to a responsible GSD rescue in your area. They will be able to take the time to properly evaluate her, do the critical in-home checks/background checks that are IMPERATIVE if this pup is to be placed in the very best home.
Her breeding and estimated "value" has little to do with her finding the best home.
Run an ad like the one you did here and you will only attract people who will try to make a ton of money off of her. If I were you, I'd rather see her spayed and in a loving home than pumping out litter after litter just so I could recoup my shipping expenses.

Thank you for your advise, and although i agree in many ways...I have to tell you that I am in no position to do that as I am not the owner of the dog. My mom is the owner and she has invested a lot of money and lost much of it...she urged me not to give the dog away, she needs to recoup her losses even if only a little. Besides, this dog is worth breeding if done right and responsibly, she is a rare expeptional quality and for a professional breeder who is not part of the overbreeding of American shepherds should see the value and still be able to provide her a loving permanent home while continueing producing a high quality line. I am burdened with this situation and Iam angry at my mom for involving me, however thats neither here nor there at this point....I need to sell her ASAP and I need to get her into the right hands.

| Well my bitch has had a litter of pups now ready to go i hve never had any complaints from any of the people i have sold pups too as i dont put the pups in for sale for £400 pound i always start off at £280 each then start coming down in price all the pups are kc reg and even after they are all gone we carrry on giving a lifetime help and advice serive to each buyer for free plus we take back any pup dog thats finds itself homeless for some reason and readvertise it and often find new homes for the dogs |

Hi Tina. The GSD is a great breed. I know of someone who is selling their GSD with Champion parents for only $250.00 due to his age and because there was already a male in the yard. The ad says:
Alex is ready to go to a new home. Daddy is a Schutzhund II, registered as a stud, registered in Germany, AKC and United Schutzhund Club of America. Mom is the granddaughter of Ulk of Arlett world champion and is working on her Schutzhund I title. Also registered in Germany, AKC and United Schutzhundclub. Both are on display. Ask for pictures.

| Thank you all for the help and offers they are all greatly appreciated. We have decided to wait on the GS till we get back to the mainland since shipping a pup would be too costly and for fear of injury to the pup. We have adopted pups although they are not GS. Thank you all again |
