I interviewed Leony before I went back to work. My son was 3 1/2 months at the time. She said her daughter helped her, but her husband did and he was awkward and rough with my son. We set a rate and paid her a month in advance for 3 days a week: Weds- Friday.
Immediately I felt uncomfortable. The contract was very unprofessional, copies of stuff that were very faded and difficult to read, and there was stuff crossed out and written in illegible. First day I picked my son up, one side of his diaper wasn't fastened - he was soaking wet when I got home.
Daily I found so much of her hair in his diapers, bunched up around his privates - gross and creepy.
She was forcing him to drink four 4oz bottles a day - so everyday when I picked him up he was SOAKED in spit-up. I spoke to her several times about this, asking her NOT to MAKE him finish bottles but she ignored my instructions. She thought I was very young so she would tell me how to take care of my son, but she was totally clueless.
She would change his clothes all the time just because she said other outfits were "cuter"...the last day I picked him up she put 2 onsies on him...literally...TWO, one right on top of the other.
She'd take stuff out of the diaper bag and not tell me - I've lost so many wipes to her, I If I could smack herdon't know how she could honestly go through 2 full packages of wipes in 4 days. And my son was in size 1 diapers(I told her I prefer her using the diapers I provided): she used her own size 3's on him. My son is even on the smaller side so literally these HUGE diapers were just blatantly TOO BIG.
Leony got another child that she was charging more so she wouldn't watch my son Thursdays - signed contract and everything.
She was shocked we were going to find a new sitter. Seriously..get a clue.
I would avoid this daycare if you have an infant. I am not sure how older children do there but I feel as if there is a complete lack of knowledge on how to properly care for children.
I was only in her living room once when children were in there, they always met me at the door and rushed me out. I could always hear children crying and they were not attentive to it.
I am sure they meet the requirements for a licensed daycare, but seriously on a person level I am so upset my son went through this for almost a month.
