| the details: | I was aghast when I read a review by someone who had a bad experience with a relaxer. I just had one done by Susie and it is fantastic. I believe that person who wrote didn't understand that it is not a miracle process. I love this salon! My experience there is mostly with Genray, the owner. I know that every time I go into the salon, I will come out feeling great about my hair and myself. Genray runs a terrific business -- and just opened a SF branch on Chestnut! |

I had most of my hair cuts in Genray salon and I was pleased with the results until i met a hairdresser where I had my worst experience!!!!
What I wanted to do is a "Japnese straightening" using the Bio Ionic products. At first I made myself clear that I would get a straight hair even after taking a bath, her answer was "SURE! without blowing your hair either!". So I paid $500 (normally other salons charge $100/hour and I've done it in less than 4 hours which is supposed to be at most $400) But, the way she was confident of the results made me pay without thinking. I came to her after failing the first treatment (She admits that it faild! So she decided to do it again) The second treatment resulted the same! Then she told me, you need to dry your hair! which will definately give me a soft hair as any normal hair won't resist the dryer!!. To get better judgment, I asked another hair stylist from a different salon who clearly said "it didn't work on your hair". Now, I didn't ask her for a full refund, but at least half of it!! She suddenly changed 180 degrees! She became angry and said "you're expecting a magic!" |
