How to find a Fire Department
Fire departments are located throughout the world, with each one serving a specific district or region. They will usually employ a large fire truck that is equipped with large hose. Once they have arrived at the scene of a fire, they will locate the nearest fire hydrant and connect their hose to it. Using the water supplied by the hydrant, they go about trying to extinguish and put out the fire. There are some fire departments that provide more specialized services such as those that fight wildfires. Fire departments are usually open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies. People will often contact their local fire department in order to have them extinguish a fire or respond to an emergency situation.
