Doctors are medical professionals trained in the healing arts, and are licensed to practice medicine. Whether you have the flu, heart problems, HIV or STDs, you can find care by a Dr at a medical clinic, center, hospital or private practice. Physicians can treat your symptoms with medication and tests, and if necessary, surgeons can operate. If you don’t have a doctor or would like to make an appointment, choose a few different doctors to start with. Many physicians and surgeons are part of a group, collaborating with each other and prepared to replace one another if one is off duty.
