There are many different types of birds that you can keep as a pet. Few people keep birds as small as hummingbirds as pets because they are not the right size. Ask the birds dealers how long they have been in business. A dealer that has several years of experience should have access to many different species of singing, exotic birds with colors you like. Unfortunately, some birds are extinct or protected. These extinct breeds are gone forever and protected species cannot be kept as pets. Ask the dealer if your exotic birds will be happy living in cages and eating seeds. Some breeds live better in these conditions while others need room for flying. You should also ask them what kind of sounds they make to communicate with each other so that you can get one that has a pleasant sound.
